Royal Gorge Suspension Bridge

We took the opportunity of Jenn and Owen's visit to see the highest suspension bridge in the world called Royal Gorge Bridge (1200 feet, wooden roadway 1ooo feet above the Arkansas River) , about 30 miles west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. We saw the bridge, walked across it and back, and also saw it from the train down below. It is amazing that something like that, built in 1929 cost only $350,000 and was completed in just 7 months. When you think about it, we Americans have lost our productivity and industriousness quite a bit since then. Oh, take a look at the tiny river raft in the bottom of one of train pictures.
